A WheresMyTCG alternative for card sellers

WheresMyTCG prints the USPS barcode onto your TCGplayer packing slips for window envelopes and charges from $2.49 a month, with 10 free barcodes a month after a free first month. PigeonTrail gives you 100 free letters every month, reads order files from more marketplaces than TCGplayer, and emails your buyer with a warning to you when a letter runs late.

The buyer tracking page on a phone for a shop called Dragon Cards: its logo, the words your letter is on its way, USPS expects it by Thursday, October 22, and a map of the route from Austin to Columbus.

What WheresMyTCG does well

WheresMyTCG is made for TCGplayer sellers who mail in window envelopes. It reads both TCGplayer packing sheet layouts and adds the barcode to the slip itself, so the slip you already print does the job. Its Auto Print desktop app connects to the TCGplayer order screen, downloads the packing slips and prints them in one click, using a Tampermonkey browser extension. It can also sort slips by card number, split orders, change an address on a slip and spot orders of $50 or more. Its paid plans cost less than PigeonTrail's Pro plan, at $2.49 a month for 100 barcodes, $4.99 for 250 and $9.99 for unlimited, and it offers support on Discord.

PigeonTrail doesn't read packing slips. It reads TCGplayer's shipping export and prints its own window slip, one letter size page per order with the address and barcode in the window and a thank you note, the order number and the tracking address inside.

100 letters a month, free, every month

After WheresMyTCG's free first month, a free account gets 10 barcodes a month. PigeonTrail's Free plan covers 100 letters every month with no card, and your first letter starts a 30 day Pro trial.

Orders from every place you sell

WheresMyTCG supports TCGplayer packing slips. PigeonTrail reads the files TCGplayer, eBay, Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, ShipStation and WooCommerce export, and Mana Pool orders arrive by themselves once you connect, so one list holds every letter you mail.

Emails your buyer gets from your shop

PigeonTrail gives every letter a tracking page with your logo, tagline and accent color, a map of the route so far and the day USPS expects it. When your order file includes the buyer's email address, we email your buyer the link at the first USPS scan. If you're on Pro, those emails come from your shop's name, and your buyer hears from you when the letter is mailed, when it's almost there and when USPS marks it delivered.

TCGplayer and Mana Pool don't share buyer email addresses with outside tools, so for those orders each letter's page in PigeonTrail has a message with the tracking link ready to paste into the marketplace's messages.

WheresMyTCG lets a buyer enter a TCGplayer order number on its home page to see the tracking, and its site doesn't describe buyer emails.

A warning before your buyer writes to you

PigeonTrail asks USPS how many delivery days a First Class letter gets between your ZIP code and your buyer's, and counts them out on the calendar. A letter more than a day past that date, or five days without a scan, is flagged in your letters list, and on Pro we email you about it, so you can reach the buyer first. Our free letter delivery time tool shows the same USPS numbers for any two ZIP codes.

Questions

Is WheresMyTCG free?

For the first month, and after that a free account gets 10 barcodes a month. PigeonTrail's first 100 letters each month are free, every month.

Does PigeonTrail print on TCGplayer packing slips?

No. PigeonTrail prints its own window slip from TCGplayer's shipping export, with the address and barcode in the window. If you want the barcode on TCGplayer's own slip, WheresMyTCG does that.

Does TCGplayer accept either tracking number?

No. TCGplayer wants USPS, UPS or FedEx tracking over $49.99, so both tools treat larger orders as packages.
